On October 12, 2026, 8-11am, volunteers from the AYLUS Glen Head Branch dedicated their time and effort to designing and creating heartfelt appreciation cards for local hospital and first aid staff in recognition of their dedication, compassion, and tireless service to the community.
Our Glen Head volunteers worked diligently on each card, carefully decorating the designs and thoughtfully writing messages of gratitude and encouragement. Through their creativity, patience, and teamwork, the volunteers transformed simple cards into meaningful expressions of appreciation for the healthcare professionals and first aid personnel who work hard every day to protect our health, respond to emergencies, and provide essential care to those in need.
The volunteers wanted to remind these dedicated professionals that their hard work, kindness, and sacrifices are valued by the community. By sharing messages of gratitude, the students hoped to brighten their recipients’ days, lift their spirits, and let them know that their contributions make a lasting difference in people’s lives.
This service project reflects AYLUS Glen Head Branch’s commitment to community service, compassion, and civic responsibility. Through this thoughtful initiative, our volunteers learned that even a small act of kindness can make a meaningful impact and that expressing gratitude is a powerful way to support and honor those who serve our community.
