On September 26, 2026, volunteers from the AYLUS Chapel Hill Branch made homemade cookies for local Meals on Wheels recipients. Volunteers prepared the cookies in their own kitchens and then packaged and delivered them to the organization.
The volunteers enjoyed taking part in a simple project that allowed them to give back to the community. We hope the cookies added a little sweetness to the Meals on Wheels deliveries and brought some joy to seniors and other homebound individuals in our community.
Volunteers who participated in this event were Alwin Liu (6 hours baking + 0.4 hour packaging), and Andrew Zhao (3 hours).
