AYLUS Syosset Volunteers Help Cultivate Native Plants at the Long Island Native Plant Initiative (LINPI) on 10/3/26

On October 3rd, 2026, members of the Syosset AYLUS organization returned to volunteer with LINPI (Long Island Native Plant Initiative), continuing their support of conservation efforts across Long Island. Volunteers took on labeling duties, marking large plastic pots with care to keep the nursery’s tracking system accurate and organized. The group also worked on the founders’ plot, where they separated weeds from soil, clearing the space so that native plants can grow without competition and the plot stays healthy and well maintained. Through this steady, hands-on work, the team continued to strengthen LINPI’s mission and contribute meaningfully to the protection of Long Island’s native plants.
