On September 4, AYLUS Houston Branch volunteered at the Citizens for Animal Protection shelter in Houston, Texas. We spent 1 hour and 30 minutes walking dogs of different temperaments and breeds, making sure each dog had adequate time in the sun.
Everyone took turns walking the dogs and feeding them treats. The dogs were so happy to get outside and interact with people, and everyone on our team genuinely enjoyed spending time with them. Taking care of them was really rewarding and this was a smooth and fun session overall.
Volunteers (1.5 hours): Amy Li (event leader), Jingyuan (Joy) Luo, Evan Fang, Isabella Li, Dexter Li
