On Saturday, September 19th, from 3:45 PM to 5:00 PM, members of the Great Neck Aylus branch hosted an AAPI event at the Great Neck Main Library. The event started off with three volunteers reading three books. Andrew read “Friends Are Friends Forever”, Nathan read “Anjali Can!”, and Jolynn read “La Princesa and the Pea”.
After reading, the volunteers transitioned to arts and crafts activities. Andrew taught how to make sailboat and bird origami, Rebecca taught a kid to make a monkey pom pom art, Victoria taught crochet, and Christina and Rainie taught how to make paper stars. It was a delightful experience and we look forward to the next event.
