On August 29, 2026, a group of 8 AYLUS Houston Branch volunteers spent 2.5 hours at The Ballard House in Katy, Texas. We prepared and served a full, hearty meal for the residents, including fried rice, alfredo & tomato pasta, an assorted vegetable platter, cornbread muffins, and soup.
Everyone jumped in and helped with different parts of the cooking and setup. It’s always meaningful to come to The Ballard House and do something as simple as cooking a warm meal for residents going through a tough time.
