On August 29, 2026, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, members of the AYLUS Bellaire branch volunteered at the Houston Food Bank.
Volunteers worked in the Warehouse Prep of the Houston Food Bank and were assigned to prepare bags of white rice for sale. Volunteers worked in a lineup where some scooped rice, poured rice in packaging bags, and prepared boxes for sale. Through teamwork and effort, they were able to smoothly complete their shift.
In total, the volunteers sorted and packaged 8 pallets of rice, equivalent to 640 boxes, 5,120 bags, and 10,240 pounds of food, providing 8,533 people with meals.
