On July 26, 2026, the AYLUS Columbus Branch hosted an Ice Cream Social
event to celebrate volunteerism, recognize outstanding member
dedication, and kick off the upcoming 2026–2027 service year.
Many members, parents, siblings, and friends gathered to celebrate the
branch’s growth. Attendees enjoyed ice cream with snacks and
refreshing drinks. Following the opening remarks, The AYLUS Volunteer
Service Award certificates were given out to dedicated members.
Afterwards, members bonded over outdoor games and activities including
Volleyball, while incoming high school and middle school students had
the opportunity to connect with graduate members for guidance and
advice on academics and college preparation.
During the event, student leaders introduced the history, mission, and
milestones of the Columbus Branch. The branch also expressed special
gratitude to its dedicated adult advisors: Tianxia Zhu, Hong Lin, and
Hongping Zhao.
We extend our sincere thanks to all the families and volunteers who
brought supplies, food, games, and coolers to make this celebration a
success.
