On August 10, 2026, AYLUS Morris Branch partnered with the United Methodist Church in Greenvillage to organize and donate a collection of useful summer items to support local community members. The donation included summer clothing, women’s bags, and small kitchen appliances. This community service project gave AYLUS members an opportunity to help families and individuals in need while promoting the importance of reuse, sustainability, and community support.
In preparation for the donation, AYLUS members worked together to collect items from the community and carefully sort through the donations. Members inspected the clothing, bags, and kitchen appliances to make sure the items were clean and suitable for continued use. They then organized the donations into categories so that they could be easily distributed by the church to people who could benefit from them. Through this process, members learned that even gently used household and personal items can make a meaningful difference when they are thoughtfully collected and shared with others.
On the morning of August 10 at 11:00 a.m., AYLUS Morris Branch members delivered the organized donations to the United Methodist Church in Greenvillage. The church will help distribute the donated items to members of the local community who need them. AYLUS members were pleased to work with the church again and contribute to its ongoing efforts to serve local families.
This project demonstrated the value of community collaboration and volunteer service. By partnering with a local organization, AYLUS Morris Branch was able to turn donated items into practical resources for others. The experience also encouraged members to be more aware of opportunities to give back to their community. AYLUS Morris Branch looks forward to continuing its partnership with the United Methodist Church and organizing additional service projects in the future.
