On August 9, 2026, members of the AYLUS Great Neck Branch gathered at Kings Point Park for another trail maintenance service project. Despite the intense summer heat, volunteers worked diligently to spread wood chips, level uneven sections of the trails, and remove obstacles that could interfere with safe walking. Their hard work helped create smoother and more accessible pathways for community members and park visitors to enjoy.
Throughout the afternoon, members supported one another and remained committed to improving the park environment. By helping pave and maintain the walking trails during the hot summer season, the volunteers made it easier and safer for families, hikers, and park staff to travel through the area. Their dedication reflected the spirit of community service and demonstrated the importance of caring for shared public spaces.
