On August 7th 2026, AYLUS Great Neck Branch Volunteers went to Firefighters Park to play sports with the kids. This time, we had a new kid to help out and his name was Austin. The volunteers started with playing catch with a tiny inflatable basketball. Then moved on to kicking a soccer ball to each other, teaching Jack and Austin where on their feet to kick the ball with. After that, Austin, Yucheng, and Zhaoxi went to play table tennis while Jack, Jaden, and Cody played with a frisbee. They all then went to the playground where they hung around, communicated, and laughed. Lastly, they went to the swings where Jack and Yucheng were swinging together while Cody pushed Jack on the swings. The volunteers and kids had a fun time laughing, playing, and talking even in the humid weather.
