Theorem Painting is the art of using stencils to paint, primarily on velvet fabric. Particularly popular in
the United States before 1850, it was an affordable yet beautiful option for decorating the home.
Paintings were accomplished on velvet as well as silk, cotton or even paper.
Delaware Branch Member Brian Wang volunteered at the historical museum to introduce this beautiful US history tradition to visitors for both entertain and teaching purpose. He responsible to setup the material square and a clipboard, introduce the history of this particular art to visitors, then teaching the painting method to museum visitors, at last record the painting and clean up the stage.
