On July 13th, 2026, three students from Virginia Beach, Virginia founded the 195th branch of the Alliance of Youth Leaders in the United States (AYLUS™): Tidewater, VA.

Description of AYLUS Tidewater, Virginia

The ALYUS Tidewater Branch was founded through the initiative of three student leaders from Virginia’s eastern peninsula region who recognized the need for stronger connections among the area’s diverse communities. The branch is committed to empowering young people across schools and communities while bridging social and economic divides that have historically separated neighborhoods throughout the region.

Serving the communities of Hampton Roads and the Virginia Peninsula, the branch seeks to uplift underserved youth by fostering opportunities for service, leadership, and personal growth. Through partnerships with local schools, families, nonprofits, and community organizations, the Tidewater Branch develops and supports programs centered on fundraising, volunteerism, mentorship, and community engagement.

Our mission is to inspire and equip young people to become compassionate leaders who create positive change in their communities. By bringing together students from diverse backgrounds, we will contribute to empowering the next generation and help build a more inclusive, resilient, and united Tidewater region.
