On June 21th, 2026, four members of the AYLUS Great Neck Branch volunteered at Kings Point Park to clean the park’s walking trails. The volunteers used rakes to clear fallen pinecones, leaves, and sticks in order to create a safer trail. Furthermore, trash – styrofoam and plastic– was disposed of. This group smoothened the walking trail and removed any debris that could endanger the public, so visitors and the community could relax in the park without the risk of falling.
By working together, the AYLUS members persevered through the heat between 12:30pm to 2:30pm to efficiently improve Kings Point Park. Some cleared the trail while others collected garbage. Additionally, everyone contributed to flattening the trail. The AYLUS group worked hard to create a safe environment for all to enjoy.
