On July 6th, 2026 AYLUS members had the opportunity to help with the CIE/USA-DFW 2026 Math Comp/ Math Fun event. Members acted in various roles such as registration, test proctor and hall monitor.
Those in registration helped manage the influx of child competitors and their parents, making sure everyone knew where to go. Test Proctors and hall monitors worked together to ensure that each grade’s competition was completed in an organized and fair manner. To achieve this, hall monitors would help guide students who needed to use the restroom or those who finished the test early to the appropriate location, while the contest masters would watch over the duration of the test and ensure that all the times were marked correctly.
After the event had concluded we also received a comment from Yun Liu, the MathComp/MathFun (MCMF) Volunteer Co-Chair, where they stated how, “Everyone of you did a wonderful job at our event! We very much appreciate your support and contribution! “
Overall this was once again a great experience working with the CIE/USA-DFW chapter and we can’t wait to see what other event they have planned for the future!
