Crafting Cards for Children with Autism 11/24/2025

Reported by Lexin Zhu

Receiving a warm card can be meaningful and uplifting for children with autism. At McLean Art and Lit Club, we dedicated our time and creativity to making handmade cards, which we will later send to autism children centers. By doing this, we foster community stewardship and raise awareness for children with autism while spreading love and care throughout the community.

As part of our collaboration with the McLean Art and Lit Club at McLean High School, we hosted one card-making session on November 24th, 2025, during which we created cards for children with autism, wrote heartfelt messages, and decorated the cards. The card-making session at McLean High School took place from 3 PM to 4:30 PM. Additionally, some members made cards at home and brought them to us. In total, we collected over 30 cards.
