On June 5, 2026, AYLUS Houston Branch volunteers participated in a community service event at the HITTA Pickleball facility in Katy, Texas. A total of five volunteers spent four hours teaching and engaging with elementary-aged children from a local summer camp field trip.
Volunteers worked alongside the young campers to introduce basic pickleball skills in a fun and encouraging environment. Activities were organized to help children understand the fundamentals of the sport, including proper paddle handling, basic rules, and simple rally techniques. Throughout the event, volunteers emphasized teamwork, sportsmanship, and the importance of physical fitness.
The volunteers created a welcoming and supportive atmosphere that allowed children to build confidence and enjoy an active experience. By guiding the campers through structured activities while keeping the tone playful and positive, the team ensured that each child had an opportunity to participate and feel included.
