On June 10, 2026, AYLUS Morris Branch partnered with Helping Hands, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting families in need, to organize a Father’s Day donation drive. Through the efforts of our dedicated student volunteers and generous community members, the branch successfully collected more than 30 donated items to benefit fathers and families served by the Helping Hands Family Center.
In the weeks leading up to the drive, AYLUS members reached out to neighbors, friends, and local supporters to gather new and gently used items appropriate for Father’s Day. Donations included personal care products, accessories, and other practical necessities that can help fathers feel appreciated and supported. The collection effort provided an opportunity for students to engage with their community while learning the importance of service, compassion, and giving back to those facing challenges.
On the afternoon of June 10 at 3:00 PM, AYLUS members delivered the collected donations to the Helping Hands Family Center. Volunteers worked together to organize, transport, and unload the items, ensuring they were ready for distribution to families in need. The visit also allowed students to learn more about the mission of Helping Hands and the positive impact that community partnerships can have on local families.
This donation drive was a meaningful way to celebrate Father’s Day by recognizing and supporting fathers who may be experiencing financial hardship or difficult circumstances. Every contribution, no matter the size, helped bring encouragement and practical assistance to those in need.
AYLUS Morris Branch would like to thank all volunteers, donors, and community members who contributed to the success of this project. We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with Helping Hands and look forward to continuing our commitment to serving the community through future service initiatives.
