On May 30th, members of the Syosset AYLUS joined the Long Island Native Plant Initiative (LINPI) to assist with their support for local environmental initiatives. Today, members first assisted with removing weeds from healthy plants and pots. We did this with plants outside, and plans located inside the loop houses. Members were involved in up potting, which is moving a seedling or small plant from its current container into a larger one with fresh potting soil. We also assisted with weeding outside in the garden, around the fences, and in the greenhouses. Overall, volunteers worked hard and helped clean and manage plants.
