On May 30, 2026, members of the AYLUS Twin Cities Branch proudly participated in
the annual Asian Fair, one of the largest Asian cultural festivals in the Twin Cities.
Through a fundraising booth organized and operated by our youth volunteers, we
successfully raised a total of $376 to support charitable and community service
initiatives.
The fundraising booth showcased the creativity, dedication, and entrepreneurial spirit
of our volunteers. Throughout the event, students sold a variety of items, including
candy, handmade crafts, crocheted creations, pencils and erasers, plush toys, and
custom-made animal balloons. Many volunteers spent weeks preparing their
handmade items and enthusiastically interacted with visitors during the fair, sharing
the mission of AYLUS and encouraging community involvement.
We are excited to share that $300 of the funds raised was donated in the name of
the AYLUS Twin Cities Branch to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, helping
support children and families battling cancer. The remaining $76 was donated to the
AYLUS Twin Cities Branch to support future youth volunteer service projects within
our local community.
This event provided a meaningful opportunity for our volunteers to develop
leadership, communication, teamwork, and service skills while making a positive
impact on others. It also allowed us to introduce AYLUS and its mission to many
members of the community who visited the festival. We are incredibly proud of our
volunteers for their hard work, generosity, and commitment to serving others. Thank
you to all the families, community members, and supporters who contributed to the
success of this fundraiser. Together, we demonstrated that young people can make
a real difference in their communities and beyond.
