On May 19, the Frisco/Plano Branch of AYLUS hosted a Bookmark Workshop in McKinney, providing volunteers with an opportunity to combine creativity with community service. During this four-hour session, participants designed and created handmade bookmarks that will be distributed to encourage reading and support literacy initiatives.
The workshop was engaging and collaborative, with volunteers working together to create colorful and unique bookmark designs. Participants explored different artistic techniques, incorporated inspirational messages, and personalized their creations while following general design guidelines. Volunteers shared ideas, assisted one another, and remained actively involved throughout the event, creating a positive and productive atmosphere.
By the end of the workshop, volunteers successfully completed 45 bookmarks. The session allowed participants to develop creativity, attention to detail, and teamwork skills while contributing to a meaningful service project that promotes reading and education within the community.
