
On Tuesday, May 19th, AYLUS high school volunteers gathered from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at Great Neck Station Library to tutor and assist younger students with their studies. During this session, Brian Zhang helped a 4th grader with limits and removable discontinuities. Meanwhile, Linzi Yeung helped a student with spelling the days of the week and memorizing times tables; Ivy Li helped as well. Siwoo Song helped with questions about geometry and the Pythagorean theorem, and area questions. Junlin Yu helped a student with PEMDAS, as well as exponents and perfect squares in math. Jason Zeng also helped an 8th grader with earth science and learned about wind directions. In conclusion, the tutoring session was efficient and benefited many students with their studies.
