On May 14th, Great Neck AYLUS hosted another successful tutoring session at the Great Neck Library Station Branch from 6:00–7:00 p.m. Junlin helped a 5th-grade student with unit conversions and reading comprehension. Linzi worked with a pre-K student on pronunciation and vocabulary skills, while Summer helped students with reading comprehension and math state test preparation. Jason taught social studies to a 7th-grade student, and Brendan taught a student about earth science topics, including Earth’s atmosphere, oceans, and planetary systems. Overall, volunteers created a productive learning environment where students completed homework and improved their academic skills.
