On April 26, 2026, AYLUS Murrieta members went to the local Home Depot to recycle the used batteries they had collected over the past few weeks.
Improper disposal of batteries can lead to harmful chemicals leaking into the soil and water, posing risks to both the environment and public health. By organizing this collection and recycling trip, we helped ensure that these hazardous materials were handled safely and responsibly.
Through this effort, AYLUS members were able to reduce waste and make a positive impact on the environment. More importantly, this initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to raising awareness in the community. By taking small but meaningful actions like battery recycling, we hope to inspire others to be more mindful of their environmental footprint and join us in protecting the planet together.
