On April 28th, Great Neck AYLUS hosted another tutoring session at the Great Neck Library Station Branch from 6 to 7 PM. Linzi worked with a second-grade student on the fundamentals of spelling and reading, and also assisted a seventh-grade student with math. Goldman tutored a fourth-grade student in geometry concepts from the student’s extracurricular enrichment class, helping to reinforce the material. Brian supported a sixth-grade student with French listening practice and density concepts in science, and also helped another student with reading comprehension and writing practice. The session guided students across a range of subjects and grade levels, with volunteers adapting to each student’s needs. Overall, it was a productive and engaging session, with the students learning and growing throughout the hour.
