AYLUS Great Neck Branch volunteers for Great Neck Park District (56th) 4/19/26

On April 19th, 2026, AYLUS Great Neck Branch volunteered at Kings Point Park to continue improving the park’s walking paths. Although the weather was a bit chilly, everyone showed up on time and stayed motivated throughout the activity. This time, our main task was clearing small branches, leveling uneven sections of the trail, and spreading mulch more evenly along the pathway. Since we had a moderate-sized group, we were able to divide the work efficiently and complete multiple sections of the trail within a few hours. Even though some parts of the work were physically tiring, everyone remained positive and focused.

Through this project, we once again experienced the value of teamwork and responsibility. Working outdoors allowed us to connect with nature while also communicating and cooperating with each other. Our efforts helped make the paths safer and more accessible for both park staff and visitors, reducing potential hazards and improving the overall experience of the park. This activity not only strengthened our teamwork skills but also reminded us of the importance of giving back to the community. We will continue to dedicate ourselves to this project and uphold AYLUS’s mission of serving others through meaningful and practical volunteer work.
