Today at Fellowship Village, there were several different issues such as how to delete things, send messages, get instagram to work, and change their apple id password. Another senior had questions on how to reserve spots for dinner, exit apps, and stop and reset a stop watch. Our volunteers also helped a senior with questions regarding how to full screen and move a smaller screen, and use zoom. There was also a senior who had questions about organizing photos into albums. Some of the questions were about how to host a zoom meeting, add invitees, and add the meeting to their google calendar. In addition to this, there were issues on how to draft an email then reopen and send it at a later time.
Volunteers also built bonds with seniors, by talking to them about different other things. Seniors felt more connected to the modern world through the help of volunteers. After the session today seniors left feeling happy, and praised the volunteer’s work.
