On Good Friday, April 3rd, four of our volunteers visited the Durham Rescue Mission to participate in the annual Easter Celebration. This meaningful event allows our volunteers to demonstrate community support by helping ensure that every child in need experiences the joy of Easter and families facing hardship receive a message of hope.
Our main task for the day was Dry Food Packing. Each bag was designed to contain: four cans of vegetables, one bottle of sauce, one box of cereal, and one package of chips/cookies. To maximize efficiency, we set up a production line — each person added one item to the bag before passing it to the next team member. In this way, we had smooth coordination and efficient teamwork.
By the end of our scheduled shift, we had packed approximately 200 bags. We are so happy to have delivered these to families in need, and we look forward to continuing our support for the community.
