The Aylus Morris Branch partnered with the nonprofit organization GRACE (Giving and Receiving Assistance for Our Community’s Essentials) to lead a meaningful infant formula drive in support of families with young children. Recognizing the critical importance of infant nutrition, members focused their efforts on collecting both liquid and powdered formula to meet a range of needs. This initiative aimed to provide essential resources to families who may be facing financial challenges, ensuring that infants receive the nourishment they need during a crucial stage of development.
To make the drive both impactful and community-centered, members took an active and creative approach to fundraising. During spring break, they offered babysitting services within their neighborhood, using the opportunity not only to help local families but also to raise awareness about the cause. Through their efforts, they were able to connect directly with community members, share the purpose of the drive, and encourage donations. Their hard work paid off, resulting in the collection of over 50 units of infant formula, including both liquid and powdered varieties.
On the morning of April 2, members delivered the collected items to the GRACE center, successfully completing the project. The drop-off marked the culmination of their dedication, planning, and teamwork. By ensuring that all donations reached the organization promptly, they helped make the resources available to families as quickly as possible.
This initiative highlighted the compassion, responsibility, and leadership of the Aylus Morris Branch members. By combining service with initiative—such as babysitting to support the drive—they demonstrated a thoughtful and proactive approach to community engagement. Their partnership with GRACE reflects how young leaders can identify real needs and take meaningful action, creating a positive and lasting impact within their community.
