Chapel Hill Branch Volunteers to Collect Flower Donations on March 22nd, 2026

On March 22nd, 2026, two members of the AYLUS Chapel Hill Branch spent their morning picking up and delivering fresh flowers donated by Trader Joe’s to Charles House in Chapel Hill.

Volunteers Karen Lin and Leah Yang worked together to collect the blooms and bring them to Charles House, a nonprofit organization that provides enriching care for seniors and those with dementia within the Carol Woods Retirement Community. The flowers will be used by the senior residents in their flower arrangement activities, offering a creative and uplifting experience that brings joy to their day.

This ongoing flower delivery project has become a meaningful part of our branch’s commitment to supporting the local senior community. Karen and Leah were happy to contribute their time, carrying on the tradition of brightening the lives of those at Charles House through something as simple and thoughtful as fresh flowers.

Volunteers who participated in this event were: Karen Lin (03/22/2026, 1.5 hours), Leah Yang (03/22/2026, 1.5 hours)
