On March 15th, AYLUS Houston volunteers served at the Houston Food Bank, working in the Carousel Room on first sort. During the shift, members focused on sorting through donated goods, checking for quality and expiration dates, and sanitizing items to ensure they were safe for distribution.
This role was essential in maintaining the efficiency and safety of the Food Bank’s operations, as it helped prepare large volumes of donations for families in need. Volunteers worked carefully and collaboratively, contributing to a smooth and productive workflow throughout the session.
