AYLUS Great Neck Branch volunteers for the Accessible Art Program (16th) 3/30/26

On Monday, Mar 30th, from 17:30-19:00, Catherine Tao, Jolynn Li and Ryder Li in Great Neck House, Accessible Art Program

During this program, we helped students with special needs explore their creativity through art.

Today we made sun catchers. Teachers there had already prepared all the materials we needed. We first cut two long strips of tape and set them aside for later use. Then we used a pipe cleaner to make a loop and stick it onto the tape. Next, we used decorations like stickers, ribbons, and sequins to create a unique sense of pattern, and stick them on the tape. After that, we put another tape on the top of it.

Each week is special since we did different fun projects with students. The purpose of doing this is to share our love with families and peers. This activity is really meaningful and successful since all of us paid effort in making art crafts. At the end of the activity, we also celebrated two of our teachers’ birthday. We were so happy to share snacks and sang birthday songs to them. Furthermore, we hope to accompany them on everyone’s birthday.
