On July 4th, 2025, AYLUS Columbus took part in the Fourth of July Parade as Patriot Hat Balloon Handlers. Volunteers arrived at 9:45 AM and they practiced operating the ropes on the balloon before the parade. As the parade began, the volunteers started walking down the street passing hundreds of parade-goers while also spinning the balloon in circles for the crowds of energetic kids. Everyone did a great job together moving the balloon up and down to avoid trees and streetlights. After finishing the parade, volunteers walked back to where they started. We hope to be back again next year!
