On January 30, 2025 AYLUS Space Coast volunteered at Literacy Night hosted by Suntree Elementary. Literacy Night was an event hosted for elementary students and their families with local authors reading stories and students showcasing their latest projects.
Our AYLUS members first assisted with the dinner before splitting up to help out at various stations. We had members organizing books in the school library, handing out hot chocolate for the students, and reading stories.
Through this experience, our members supported young students’ engagement with reading, aiming to create a positive and enjoyable foundation for future literacy.
