On January 26th, 2025, Murrieta AYLUS members helped at a local senior center.At Torrey Pines Senior Living: The volunteers began with leading the residents through their exercise while also preparing a snack of cottage cheese and fruit salad, passing out refreshments after they finished their workout. They helped feed some of the residents who couldn’t eat for themselves, then cleared away and cleaned the bowls and plates. They hosted a short piano performance as well, before giving the residents back massages and helping with their manicures. Afterwards, the residents were taken to lunch.

On January 26th, 2025, Murrieta AYLUS members played piano at their local senior center.
When members went into the library, they found a stack of piano books lying on the piano bench with a note. It was from the senior from last week who gave members a bag of piano books and members were very touched by her kindness and generosity. Then, a senior came in and gave members some printed classical piano pieces and asked them if they could play it. After, members played some songs from the books they received from last week and many seniors were surprised to hear members play so many old songs. Members ended with a fun jazzy piece that got the seniors dancing in their seats. Then, they went to the parlor to help clean up and signed out.
