On November 23, 2024, members of the AYLUS Greater Memphis Branch volunteered to deliver a heartwarming Thanksgiving performance at a local nursing home. This event, which lasted for two hours, featured musical performances and entertainment to brighten the day for the elderly residents.
Music has been shown to provide numerous benefits for seniors, including improving memory, reducing stress, and enhancing emotional well-being. Events like this foster a sense of connection and joy, allowing elders to engage socially and reminisce through the power of music and performance.
