AYLUS San Clemente Branch Members Volunteered at Rancho Mission Viejo’s 8th Annual Turkey Trot on The Ranch on November 27, 2024

On November 27, 2024, nine San Clemente branch members volunteered at Rancho Mission Viejo’s 8th Annual Turkey Trot on The Ranch.

The members first met at the community center near the site of the Turkey Trot and took busses or golf carts to their assigned stations. Once there, members were instructed what to do and began to prepare for the runners to finish. Three of the members were in charge of taking medals out of their packaging, hanging them on racks, and handing medals to runners as they crossed the finish line. Another group of three members were in charge of providing water and keeping the runners hydrated which was important since runners were running the 1k, 5k, or 10k. Three other members were finish recorders that helped keep track of runners’ times. This is the second year the branch has volunteered at this event with more volunteers helping this year than last year.

Altogether, 1400 people participated in the Turkey Trot and our wonderful San Clemente branch members helped greatly!
