On September 22nd, 2024 Sophie Chung, Hayley Foo and Evan Chang volunteered at a local senior home. The visit began with an ice-cream social, where they enjoyed meaningful conversations and listened to fascinating inside stories the seniors shared with them. The ice-cream social had an Oktoberfest theme, with the background TV displaying images of traditional German Oktoberfest celebrations, while German folk music played through the sound system, creating a somewhat festive atmosphere. After some laughter, the the members prepared the entertainment room for the daily Bingo session. After several rounds of Bingo, the seniors were left feeling happy and fulfilled. These games not only bring joy but also help keep their minds active, and offered them a sense of entertainment.
