Sunday, September 15th, 2024, was a wonderful sunny day that was not too cold nor warm. The AYLUS Great neck branch volunteered at Steppingstone Park with the mission of preserving the cleanliness and natural environment of the park.
At around 9:35 am, the members of the branch were divided into groups of 4, to be spread around the park. Our mission was pick up the trash that was left behind and clean up the environment. With the temperature being perfect, the work was enjoyable. The sky was clear with a light breeze, the sun was shining but not piercing. And at around 11:40 am, we ended the clean up. Through this volunteer mission, we learned to protect and clean after our environment. Overall this was a wonderful experience and a meaningful volunteering mission.
