AYLUS Morrisville Branch Collects Books for the African Library Project to Uganda on September 8th 2024

African Library Project (ALP) is an international network of partners, volunteers, and community supporters, book drives are transformed into sustainable libraries. Volunteers in North America organize book drives by rallying their communities to collect gently used children’s books and raise funds for shipping. AYLUS Morrisville Branch launched our first African Library Project (ALP) this summer. Our enthusiastic volunteers organized book drives to collect books. We hope these books will help underserved schools and communities in need of books. Volunteers involved in the first book drive are:

Lingfei Tang – 75 books, 2.5 hours

Annika Liu – 100 books, 2.5 hours

Audrey Fan – 100 books, 2.5 hours

Aaron Fan – 100 books, 2.5 hours

Mandy Xiao – 100 books, 2.5 hours

Claire Zhong – 100 books, 2.5 hours

Halley Zhong – 100 books, 2.5 hours

Jeffery Zhong – 100 books, 2.5 hours

Lucy Zhao – 50 books, 2 hours

Joyce Xu – 50 books, 2 hours
