Chapel Hill Branch Volunteers to Clean Up Litter at Jordan Lake on Aug 25, 2024

On Sunday morning, the AYLUS Chapel Hill branch partnered with the Chinese-American Friendship Association of NC (CAFA) to address pollution and waste issues at Jordan Lake. Our clean-up began along the roadside, where several glass bottles and other litter was disposed of. We then cleaned along the trail, carefully retracing our steps to ensure no litter was left behind. All of the waste we collected was properly disposed of, preventing potential harm to both wildlife and people in the area. We hope our efforts contribute positively to the environment and inspire others to take action in keeping our surroundings clean.

Volunteers who participated in this event are Nicholas Wang (2 hrs), Ethan Li (2 hrs), Luna Chen (2 hrs), Hongyan (2 hrs), Yi, (2 hrs), and Mei (2 hrs).

Time Stamp: 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM
