Murrieta AYLUS Helps Local Food Bank (58th) (7/16/2024)

Reported by Jessica Lu :

On July 16th, 2024, Murrieta AYLUS members helped their local food bank.
Members started by making food boxes. For each box, they put one bag of meat, one bag of cheddar cheese, one deli, a small box of fruits/veggies, a salad bag, and yogurt/milk. Then they passed the cart onto the next station for fresh produce, bread, and desserts to be placed in each food box. After doing a couple of them, some bread boxes came around to be sorted, so members switched to that. Then they spent a good amount of time packing one meat into each bag for the food boxes. They packed 4-5 boxes of meat before taking a break. Members wiped down the tables, put the bread/produce carts in the back area, and threw away trash during clean-up time before saying goodbye.
