On July 8th, 2024, AYLUS members had a local beach clean up. They arrived at the scene and started to sweep the streets, looking for any trash that had not been picked up by other volunteer groups. When they arrived to the park, they immediately noticed the trash on the ground which they picked up. As the advanced towards the beach, the found to their horror, a dead mouse which had been lying on the ground. They safely disposed of it with a grabber as to not infect themselves. They then made their way to the beach where they found cardboard, napkins, and a gatorade bottle which had only been half drunk. On their way up, they found another gatorade bottle as well as a pile of bread which somebody had dumped on the ground.
