AYLUS Bellaire Branch members volunteered at 2024 Care Festival as helpers.
At the 2024 Care Festival, our volunteers first focused on preparing each stand before the event starts. The volunteers paved the floor covers, laid the power cords, and helped carry equipment and food for stallholders. After the start of the event, the volunteers set up a stand and placed a sign on the wall that indicates help is offered at all times. We also had people helping the stallholders to sell food and things at different stands. At the end of the event, we helped sort and store the chairs and clean up the area. From this event, we focused on our organizing and communication skills. We have learned how to communicate with people, to know what they need and offer the most beneficial service possible.
Volunteer time: Saturday, June 29th, 2024. 9 am to 2 pm, 5 hours.
