On June 29th, four dedicated members of AYLUS Pearland continued their successful summer
art lessons as they strived to nurture young artistic talent (ranging from ages 3-13) within the
Pearland community. This class was dedicated to unleashing the students' creativity, as the
teaching team projected a gallery of samples for students to vote on learning. They ended up
unanimously deciding upon a cute penguin and cat colored pencil drawing
After the first instructional lesson, the class took a well-deserved break while students continued
to add their own designs to the penguin drawing. Chips and drinks were provided.
During the second half of the class, the team introduced their second chosen sample –a
cat–and students followed along with the tutorial. They were then allowed to again, add
whatever decorations or background they wanted. Every student designed such creative and
loving cards, many of which were even gifted away!
The session was met with great enthusiasm. Some new faces joined and returning participants
too expressed happiness with the day's engaging environment fostered by the AYLUS Pearland
members.
Overall, this fourth session of our 2024 summer art lessons was a resounding success!!
