On June 15th, 2024, the AYLUS Orlando branch visited the Sanford Homeless Shelter and assisted the FEED HUNGER NOW organization in a local renovation.
The participants did the following:
- Set up almost 30 white trays for newly planted trees.
- Plant multiple trees for future sustainability.
- Renovate the area through moving plants and cleaning up the scraps.
This event aligns perfectly with AYLUS Orlando’s mission of environmentalism. By maintaining such local sustainable gardens through assisting nonprofit organizations, AYLUS provides a new opportunity for the lower income population and helps in local efforts.
AYLUS has also made other environmental efforts through the adopt-a-location programs, such as the SR-419 Road they adopted through the Adopt-a-Road system, the Wekiva River they adopted through the adopt-a-river system, and the Sanford Boardward they adopted through the Adopt-a-Goat system. AYLUS hopes more people can come and help for their efforts.
