On May 18th, AYLUS members sold handmade bracelets and rings at the Third Monday Trade Days flea market to donate to the African Library Project. The African Library Project aims to build libraries in Africa to give children better reading comprehension, and the money raised is used to cover shipping costs. It was a blazing hot day today, and John was especially persistent. He was there the entire day, and even the Texas sun couldn’t deter him from making sales! Two shifts were made, a morning and afternoon. We made a good deal of sales today, and can’t wait for the next opportunity! We hope that more people catch word of what we’re doing and take an interest in this program. Thank you very much to the participating members!
