AYLUS Rancho Cucamonga Branch Volunteers at  Central Park on 04/21/2024

On April 21, 2024, five members of the AYLUS RC Branch participated in the annual garbage collection volunteer event held at Central Park, the most renowned community activity area in our city. Central Park is not only a vast community park but also home to a senior activity center, a community center, and hosts many large-scale events organized by our city. Additionally, the area features bike lanes and walking paths where residents engage in daily cycling and brisk walking for exercise.

Given the high volume of daily activities in this area, there is a substantial need for garbage cleanup. As one of the volunteer organizations in our city, the AYLUS RC Branch organizes an annual garbage collection event for its members. This year, our activity covered a wide radius, including parking lots, park green spaces, the senior activity center area, bike lanes, and pedestrian areas. Members came prepared with various tools and garbage bags to collect litter ranging from water bottles, paper waste, and snack wrappers to large fallen leaves.

Unbeknownst to us, seven hours swiftly passed as everyone diligently filled their bags with garbage. Each person contributed to the effort, and spirits were high as we collectively worked to make our community cleaner and more orderly. The list of members who participated in this volunteer activity, each contributing seven hours of service, is as follows:

Yongxi Hu; Ryan Kan; Jiayi Bai; Haoyu Zhang; Haohua Feng

Together, we demonstrated our commitment to environmental stewardship and community service, leaving a positive impact on our beloved Central Park and its surroundings.
