AYLUS Rancho Cucamonga Branch Volunteers at ALFC Generosity Center on 12/09/2023
On December 9, 2023, ten members of the AYLUS RC Branch participated in the monthly food distribution volunteer activity. Collaborating with the local ALFC, we dedicated our Saturday morning to distributing food to residents in need. The variety of food items we distributed was extensive, including meats, fruits, vegetables, canned goods, bread, and sometimes even desserts, cakes, and beverages.
Each of us was assigned to a different category of food, and many families began lining up as early as 7 a.m. We needed to arrive at the warehouse by 8 a.m. to organize the items for distribution, with vehicles allowed in promptly at 8:30 a.m. Two vehicles entered simultaneously, and each of us placed our assigned food items into the trunks of the cars.
We, the members, thoroughly enjoyed this volunteer activity, as it allowed us to genuinely experience the joy of helping others. Time passed swiftly, and before we knew it, five hours had flown by. Seeing the satisfied and happy faces of the families receiving the food filled us with immense satisfaction, and we eagerly anticipate the next opportunity to participate in such a meaningful activity.
The volunteers who dedicated their time and energy to this cause were Jiayi Bai; Saoirse Wu; Yangxuezhe Sun; Chengzhuo Ye; Bryan Wang; Tina Chen; Ryan Wang; Haoyu Zhang; Elvis Wang; Yixin Qian. Each volunteer contributed 5 hours.
