Gladstone Branch Spreads Cybersecurity Awareness to Seniors at the Bernardsville Library on April 1st, 2024

From 3:00 to 4:00 pm on April 1st, 3 members of the AYLUS Gladstone Branch presented to seniors in the Bernardsville Public Library regarding cybersecurity awareness. Topics covered in the presentation included: password management, complex/strong passwords, phishing, vishing, smishing, common internet scams, social media safety, and a fun, interactive activity at the end. The seniors were engaged throughout the presentation and sometimes even provided insight and personal experiences about cybersecurity or scams. Overall, both the presenters and the seniors thought it was a fun and engaging event, fostering much discussion and learning to help ensure seniors know how to act and what to do on the internet to be safe from cybersecurity threats.
